In the pot holder another rolled up matching potholder and a compactly folded Apron to match and recipe cards with a whole meal of recipes to make. The recipes would be some that are already foods that they eat only very different seasonings. When I make things I make them expressly for the intended receiver.

Aha! A smart use for my leftover Afternoon Picnic fabrics! I read all of the others’ suggestions for what they’d include in the pocket and they all are excellent. I’d make a pair of potholders and place one on each side of a mason jar filled with the dry ingredients for a soup. In one pocket, I’d include the recipe for the soup; in the other pocket a silicone ladle and cooking spoon. Then, I’d tie the potholders to the sides of the mason jar with a gingham checked ribbon to match the fabric in the potholders.

Great idea, I love making potholders for gifts. However, the video did not show where the interfacing was placed. They said to help give body to the pocket, but did not show that application.

I plan on making Some of these for my Sisters for Christmas, along with some dishtowels that I designed myself! I plan to put something special in for each sister. – cookie baking items- some special cookie cutters, and real vanilla for one sister, meat rub and a tongs for the crock pot-cooking sister- and for my “horsey” sister, who makes lots of candies and bars- a candy thermometer and spoon rest for on the side of the pan. Thanks for continuing with so many great ideas!
