I love the potholders! I would include a wooden spoon set.

As I am known for my Christmas cookies that I share with friends, I would include some recipes of my cookies – especially the pumpkin cookies that everyone seems to love.
Joyce
I would put in a wooden spoon and my own mis for oatmeal cookies!
Teri
I think I would include a scone mix and silicone spatula.
diane c
A soup ladle was on one Christmas list this year. So I am going to do the soup mix and ladle — thanks for the idea!!!!
Lorraine Alves
My friend collects and uses red, white and red and white dinner ware. I would definitely use the red check and other fabrics with red in them. I would include wooden spoons. a whisk and a recipe for red velvet cake.
Martha Morgan
I would include a small cookbook and measuring spoons.
Dixie
I would include a favorite recipe in the pocket of the potholder.
Marilyn Logan
I would put a favorite recipe, cooking utensil used in the recipe, and a jar or two of spices/seasonings used in the recipe.
Charlotte Brown
I love those potholders and I would add a couple of bamboo wooden spoons which I also like because they pretty longer without staining.
Joan K
Love the idea of a coordinated gift! I would include a silicone spatula in a color that matches the fabric and a baking mix.
Mary S
I would include a snickerdoodle recipe and packaged dry ingredients, spatula and large spoon for mixing. This is her favorite cookie.
Janice Hobbs
I would include family recipes that have been handed down for several generations with measuring spoons and a few cookie cookie cutters. Such a great idea for potholders!
Clovis
My friend sewed a part for a pencil and small notebook. It was very nice. Everybody got one for Christmas.
Shirley Clark
These would be great for a wedding shower gift with the a recipe and the dry ingredients to make it.
Lillian K
A cookie mix and stirring spoon.
The Sisters are good but I REALLY miss the tutorials & patterns/instructions by Nancy!!!’ – please bring them back more frequently. I am noticing a lot of changes in this blog that I don’t care for.
Marylou Wahl
What a super potholder and love the idea of including a wooden spoon ,maybe a spatula and recipe cards and a muffin or cookie mix in the gift package as well.
Beverly
I would include a few family favorite recipes along with a whisk and mixing spoon and a Ziploc with a few samples of the goods made from the recipes.
Joanna
Love the little pocket..it gives the lowly pot holder a step up on the ranks of kitchen help…
Eva Osmun
I need some new pot holders! this may be my chance!
Bev Bolduc Aldridge
In the pot holder another rolled up matching potholder and a compactly folded Apron to match and recipe cards with a whole meal of recipes to make. The recipes would be some that are already foods that they eat only very different seasonings. When I make things I make them expressly for the intended receiver.
Andrea Letourneau
I’d make a “Dad” potholder using denim or a dark colored solid twill. I’d put BBQ sauce & BBQ spices in the pocket so the “grillmaster” can do his thing
Janet
I think photocopied hand written recipes of Grandma’s cookie recipes and a few spices + wooden spoon would make a nice little surprise gift for someone in the family
Sandra C
I need new pot holders badly but hate to buy them. After watching the SIS video, I may have to buy a bundle box for my Christmas present!
Sandra C.
Pat Stone
I would place a gift card to a kitchen supply store in the pocket for a newlywed couple who both like to cook. I would wrap the card in a kitchen towel decorated with fabric from the potholder.
Janine Roth
I’d include a favorite recipe handwritten on a decorative card, plus a handmade wooden spoon.
Lorene Kaukl
Very pretty potholder. I would include one of my favorite recipes along with a wide spatula.
Kathryn Smotryski
An assortment of kitchen utensils would look great tied up with a bow.
Barb K
Some favorite recipe cards and a bottle opener with a magnet on it–I keep mine inside my stove hood where it is always handy–and some wooden spoons.
Kathryn Englebretsen
I would include measuring spoons and some interesting extracts. I like to add extract to pancakes to dress them up – almond, coconut, butter, etc. – just a quarter teaspoon of one kind is nice.
Teresa M Edington
This would be a great addon to my soup-in-a-jar gifts. Roll one up around a couple bamboo spoons and tie with kitchen jute and wa-LAH!! Instant gift for a friend or family member.
Mary
Wooden spoons and a recipe would make such a personal gift.
Joy
I would add a ladle and soup mix. Love the potholders, can’t wait to make some for family members.
Sybil Derderian
I would tuck in a ouch of brownie mix with some recipe cards for snazzing them up along with a cute silicone spatula.
Lorna DeSantis
I would include some fancy cupcake/muffin tin liners and a bottle of premium vanilla flavoring.
Jeanne
I love sugar cookies so a cookie mix, some sprinkles and a spatula would be the perfect trio.
Bonnye
I would put a container of cocoa mix and a bag of marshmallows.
Suzy C
These would make a nice gift for my co workers. I would add some spices and a rolled up tea towel with a couple of wooden spoons.
Kitty Kontak
I bought a small cast iron skilllet with a brownie mix in it for one of my granddaughters and this potholder would be the perfect compliment for it.
Loreen Ridlon
I would leave recipes of mine that I know she loves.
Rebecca Monnin
Aha! A smart use for my leftover Afternoon Picnic fabrics! I read all of the others’ suggestions for what they’d include in the pocket and they all are excellent. I’d make a pair of potholders and place one on each side of a mason jar filled with the dry ingredients for a soup. In one pocket, I’d include the recipe for the soup; in the other pocket a silicone ladle and cooking spoon. Then, I’d tie the potholders to the sides of the mason jar with a gingham checked ribbon to match the fabric in the potholders.
Jenise LeMay
Great idea, I love making potholders for gifts. However, the video did not show where the interfacing was placed. They said to help give body to the pocket, but did not show that application.
Julie Kill
I plan on making Some of these for my Sisters for Christmas, along with some dishtowels that I designed myself! I plan to put something special in for each sister. – cookie baking items- some special cookie cutters, and real vanilla for one sister, meat rub and a tongs for the crock pot-cooking sister- and for my “horsey” sister, who makes lots of candies and bars- a candy thermometer and spoon rest for on the side of the pan. Thanks for continuing with so many great ideas!
Karen Tucker
Cookie-making ingredients!
Linda Johnson
My Charlotte will love making these for family and friends this year. Thanks, and God Bless
