Baby Lock Sewlebrity Love of Sewing Challenge/Nancy Zieman

Join the Adventure! Find Your Destiny. On January 2, I announced my new hobo tote project for Baby Lock’s Sewlebrity Love of Sewing Challenge. Now for the amazing part of my Sewlebrity Love of Sewing Challenge project—the embroidery, using Baby Lock’s Destiny II. Watch the video as I resize, add custom thread colors, duplicate, and position—my favorite part—the embroideries around the handle area of my tote.

I love this whole twelve week challenge! I have Destiny 2 and love all of its fabulous features. I will keep my eyes open for new things to teach my students in my new owner classes! Thank you for all you do Nancy!

Hi Nancy, I like that the machine can scan the fabric so you can do the embroidery.

When I pressed the camera button to scan my fabric it asked me for a snowman sticker. Why?

Once my field was scanned I did not have the grid to assist with placement. Why?

I’m new to this challenge thing. Do you SEND the info each week or do we have to go looking for it each week? If we go looking each week how have others reminded themselves when and where to look? I love the tote and JUST got the Dream Machine how can we get the flowers that you used? I had a couple of things that I was waiting until after the new year for Christmas money to get at Nancy’s Shop I will be putting the Hobo Tote on my list. Looking forward to the 12 challenge’s.

I you had the Destiny 2 you would find the flowers on the special Nancy Zeiman menu of designs. Since you have the Brother version of the machine, you will need to find a design you like from your machine or online. I am not sure about the other question, but I think you can get the notices from Babylock. com. Sign up for their newsletter and you should be getting the notices. Hope that helps! Kim

Now I want one of those Babylock Destiny embroidery machines!! Neither my Pfaff Creative Vision 5.0 (from 2007) nor the Bernina 830 (from 2013) has a camera to scan the neckline shape for perfect placement. I’ve always had to put uncut fabric on the embroidery unit, hope for the best with the shape I guessed, embroidered, then cut out the final product to force alignment…
