Red Jacket: Holiday Fashion
Cooler weather is upon us! My newest pattern with The McCall Pattern Company will keep you fashionable and comfy. Pattern M7512 is a tapered jacket with two unique collar options and sleeve lengths—ideal to wear during three seasons. The fabric I chose to use in both versions is ponte knit, a medium weight fabric that stitches like a woven, but drapes like a knit. Look for the pattern at your favorite retailer or at Nancy’s Notions. Read more about the seasonal red jacket and other styles included in this pattern here.
Holiday Stocking Round Up
Find all the inspiration you’ll need to sew for Christmas, right here! In today’s Christmas Stocking Pattern Roundup, view a gallery of stocking designs and choose one or more to fit your décor. In just a couple evenings of sewing enjoyment, you’ll have a new stocking, or two, or four! Find the round up here.
Seasonal Pillow Wrap
The project that I would like to share with you is a pillow wrap. You can easily change your home décor with a little fabric and a great embroidery design. Embroider a seasonal motif on the fabric. Then, follow these simple directions to create a wrap, or two! I made one for the autumn season and a second for Christmas time. One design fits both categories, the thread color changes transformed a fall tree to a Christmas tree! Learn to make the pillow wrap here.
Even More Holiday Round-Up Fun
Time to enjoy family, traditions, and celebrations. In keeping with my holiday traditions, I’ll be making handmade items. I hope you will, too. Fast Projects for the Holidays sewing round up is a collection of festive and quick sewing tutorials. Make items for yourself or gift them to someone special. Gather fabrics from your stash, grab a new collection of fat quarters, or start with ready-made/recycled items. There’s a project here for everyone. See the 2016 Holiday Sewing Round Up here.
