The 2018 Sewing & Stitchery Expo is just over two weeks away—March 1–4, 2018—held each year at the Western Washington Fairgrounds in Puyallup, Washington (near Seattle).
The Sewing & Stitchery Expo is celebrating 34 year in 2018! Over 22,000 sewing enthusiasts from across the world attend this annual gathering to get inspired with new ideas for their next projects, rub elbows with the stars of sewing, and connect with sewing friends! The Sewing & Stitchery Expo is where your creative community comes together. It’s four full days of learning, connecting, and inspiration for sewing enthusiasts of all levels. Whether you’re new to sewing, lifetime quilter, seasoned maker, devoted cosplayer, or a whimsical DIY-er, you’ll find a wide variety of activities and resources to spark your imagination and help bring your creative vision to life.
For both Nancy and me, our team trips to the Sewing & Stitchery Expo were like homecoming week in the spring. I’ll surely miss Nancy as I head west and reconnect with our sewing friends at the largest sewing show in the country.
I’m looking forward to my visit, to seeing you, and to presenting our New! I Sew For Fun classes at the 2018 Sewing & Stitchery Expo. I’ll be sharing Nancy’s streamlined sewing methods and tips for over 20 sewing projects. Plus I’ll share a sneak peek at The NZP Team’s next projects! Best of all we’ll be enjoying our love of sewing together.
Join me for my One Button I Sew For Fun Classes at the 2018 Sewing & Stitchery Expo. Only $8 per ticket! When not teaching, you’ll find me demonstrating the Nancy Zieman Tools and Notions in the Clover Booth. You’ll also find me hosting meet-and-greets, immediately after each of my classes, in the Quality Sewing & Vacuum booth.
Looking forward to seeing you in Puyallup.

Mo Burshears
I am planning on attending – see you there!
Shirley L
I would love to attend this fun event.
Joan Philip
I have the all green tool that looks like the new one. Is the new one a little different? I would love to attend The Expo as much as I have always wanted to spend time at Nancy’s place. But there are too many “too’s” Too old, too far away, would cost too much. I have enjoyed Nancy’s videos and programs on T.V. over many many years, she was such an inspiration and I learned so much. Where I live now I haven’t been able to get her programs. I was so sorry to learn that she had died.
Karen
I really like the color of this gauge.
Judy F
I would love to have one of these! Thanks for the opportunity.
Susan
Even if I cannot attend I enjoy reading about this Mecca of sewing.
Joan Deaver
The 5-In-1 sliding gauge from Clover looks like a great tool. It would be a great addition to my sewing room and our sewing group.
Carrie T
The gauge looks interesting.
Valerie Thompson
The Five in One sliding gauge would be a very helpful tool in teaching my nine grandchildren to sew. It would be a special time for us to spend laughing and learning together. I’m excited to see what they would like to create. Thank you for the chance to win. Good luck everyone.
D
I am sure Nancy will be there in spirit.
Noreen
The expo sounds like so much fun! Would love the opportunity to attend one. I’m sure Nancy will be missed. The 5 in 1 looks like a really handy tool.
Valerie Brown
I didn’t know about this expo. I think my sewing friends need to take some time off from work and make this an annual trip!
Kathy
Would love to add this sewing tool to my supplies. Cute colour.
Karen simpson
Looking forward to seeing you in Puyallup. I love the cool gauge and would enjoy having it in my sewing kit.
Karen
I watched Nancy’s last show, “I sew for Fun” with my daughter. She is 11. We reminisced about our class together at Nancy’s Notions where she sewed an apron and received her first Baby Lock BL9 machine. I am so blessed to be able to share my loving of sewing with her. This would be a great gift to add to her sewing supplies. Love the color, it looks sew fun!
diane c
wish I didn’t live half way across the country — would love to attend
Anna Little
Not able to go however, would love that gadget – makes sewing a little easier. Have several ladies that come to my place once a week – we sew for the hospital, Women in Crises, & other charity organizations. I have recorded Nancy’s programs for many years and have them on over 30 VHS tapes. Master list everything on the tapes.
Sharon Kirry
I e already got my Expo tickets and look forward to meeting you there. I miss Nancy too.
Gina G

Missing Nancy!
Suzanne
There’s a sad little hole in my heart with Nancy’s name next to it. But it hurts much less when I see how well you’re carrying on her legacy. God bless and thank you.
Wish I could be there…maybe some day. Do you ever have events on the East Coast-Philadelphia area?
Kathy Van
I’ll be quilting my 2017 Nancy Zeiman block of the month quilt & thinking of you all in Washington. Let us make Nancy proud. She taught us so much!
Rob Mac
I will see you all at SewExpo I have so missed seeing Nancy at SewExpo. I know her illness kept her away and now with her passing I won’t get another chance again. I have multiple photos I took with Nancy at SewExpo and I cherish them.
Regina Conti
I love “Team Nancy Zieman” – and I am sure Nancy does too! Missing Nancy.
Sunni
I know you will do Nancy proud! Wonderful event. I’ve given the 5 in one tool for gifts which were well received; didn’t get one for myself. Here’s hoping. Tell us, when you return, about the expo. Thanks.
Lissy Currie
When I lived near Seattle I attended this show. It’s fantastic. Lots of quilting things but also lots of other sewing and fabric tips, techniques, and supplies. Classes are taught by knowledgeable people. Some are 1 o 2 hour classes which tend to be more lectures or demonstrations. The 3 or 4 hour classes are more likely “hands-on”. Quality Sewing Co. are one of the sponsors and do a fine job. Wish I could go again but now living in Rocky Mtn. area and circumstances prevent it. Certainly worth taking a trip to go there.
Renee S
I did enjoy meeting Nancy at the expo several years ago. She was very personable.
I’ve just finished reading Seams Unlikely. I did have to laugh at the description of setting up for the expo on February 28, 2001 when the earthquake hit. I live just north of Puyallup and remember that day.
Peggy V
Would love to one day attend this event. Will have to attend Sewing weekend in Beaver Dam. So happy Nancy’s team is continuing her legacy
Melanie Eddy
I would love to go to win the gauge. My 4Hers would think it really fun to use.

Unfortunately, I live too far away to attend — it looks like it will be a great time!
Sandy
Wish this event was closer to me. Nice to have something that includes all aspects of sewing not just quilting. Thanks for continuing Nancy’s dream.
Donna Fecteau
It’s a bit too far away from Upstate NY for me to attend. Wish I could. thank you for continuing Nancy’s legacy and know that her spirit is with you. It will be good for you to be out and see the sewing community and let their love embrace and cheer you up.
Jan Crandall
Too far from New Mexico. Sounds like fun. Thanks for continuing Nancy’s legacy. I know she’s missed!
Max

Janey B

I bought a Baby Lock Ellisimo that Nancy had autographed when she was in Sacramento. We are all so blessed to have had her in our sewing lives.
Claudia Davis
I’m looking forward to seeing you there. It’s sew much fun! I literally bumped into Nancy the first time I attended. I felt silly later because I was too embarrassed to say anything more than, excuse me, to her. Wish I’d have taken a moment to thank her for her sewing encouragement all those years.
Sheila Kester
A safe journey to the team. I know that Nancy will be watching over you. Thank you for continuing her legacy. We miss her dearly.
Judy Chapman
Have only missed 4 sewing expos since the start. I fortunately live a little over an hour away so it’s easy. Having met Nancy several times I know what a wonderful person she was. Her legacy lives on.

THANK YOU, Team Nancy, for keeping her spirit alive, on tour and on-line. Nancy’s sewing inspiration surrounds me in my sewing room… in her tools, books, etc. I live about an hour from Puyallup and make an annual pilgrimage to Sew Expo. One year I got Nancy’s autograph (and other sew-lebrities at the show) for a ‘book case quilt’ – it is even more precious now!
Carol Netzler
Glad that Nancy’s spirit and love of sewing carries forward. I wish I could attend the sewing expo in Washington. Too far.

Looking forward to seeing you and your presentation. Will be bittersweet to not have Nancy as a presenter. But, she will be with us in spirit.

Have always enjoyed the Expos. Wish I could attend but it is a bit further then I care to go by myself. Even though I retired over 15 years ago, I can’t seem to enjoy and do all the things that I’d like to do with all of my volunteer work that I just can’t seem to get away from. Have fun and enjoy it.
Margie V.
Would love to win this tool as Clover and Nancy were a great team coming up with such useful notions. Also wish I were closer and could attend the fabulous expo!

I have yet to buy a new seam gauge, just keep nursing my old one I got when I was in Home Ec, circa 1959. A chance to win a nice new pretty one would make my day.
Happy sewing the Nancy Zieman way!
