The randomly selected winner of  a Stitch it! Sisters 5″ Fabric Short Stack with S!S button & sticker from the December 7 Blog Post, NEW! Stitch it! Sisters No-Hassle Potholder Plus Program 104, is Rebecca Monnin.

Afternoon Picnic 5-inch Fabric Short Stack with Stitch it! Sisters Button & Sticker Giveaway at nancyzieman.com/blogHer comment is: Aha! A smart use for my leftover Afternoon Picnic fabrics! I read all of the others’ suggestions for what they’d include in the pocket and they all are excellent. I’d make a pair of potholders and place one on each side of a mason jar filled with the dry ingredients for a soup. In one pocket, I’d include the recipe for the soup; in the other pocket a silicone ladle and cooking spoon. Then, I’d tie the potholders to the sides of the mason jar with a gingham checked ribbon to match the fabric in the potholders.

Happy Sewing!

The new tunic pattern look like just the item my daughter has been describing that she wants. I would love to win this pattern so that I can help her learn to make one for herself as we sew side by side.

This is just the pattern for my 14 yo grand. Perfect for looking good on a cold day.

I am a certified fabricholic. Stashed fabric for years and now I live in a very small house…with LOTS of fabric. Using it up during these cool days stuck inside and especially the wool. TONS of wool….that hooded tunic is making an impression on some magenta/burgundy houndstooth I have been eyeing lately…

I haven’t sewn any clothing in years. I am now retired and this tunic looks like something I could manage. It looks easy to make and attractive! Would love to have this pattern to reboot my sewing!

I like the Tunic look and I have made some. This would look good with my other Tunics. I will be making a fleece jacket soon. Can’t wait to see how it will fit.

I will be traveling in early spring and plan to sew a number of tunics and simple knit dresses for the trip. Knits are easy to pack and easier to wear especially on a plane and this pattern fits the bill.

I love this pattern for myself and I think my granddaughter in college would love this as well. We live in Florida and this would be just right for those cooler days when long sleeves are needed and no jacket. The pattern is so flattering.

I just got some polka dot sweat shirt material. I’m planning a jacket with a zipper front and a pair of pants. Wearing those on a cold winter day should be nice and cozy.

I usually sew for the grandkids this time of year with flannel pajamas for eight! Along with several flannel nightgowns. I think it’s time to sew something for me and this tunic pattern would be perfect!

What a great pattern! I love the hidden pocket and the flattering side seams. For winter I would make the tunic in a cozy warm fleece. My current fashion sewing project is a blue/green plaid ruana.

I plan on making a knit sweater top. To
go with a pair of leggings. I love this tunic because of the princess seams. So stylish! I also love the front seam pockets! Got to have pockets.

I mostly make shorts and pants, but would love to try this tunic dress pattern. It would be perfect to wear over stretch pants on these cool days in Florida.

I like this new pattern. Longer shirts are so nice to wear. I am not planning on making clothes this winter. But I am making a blanket and hopefully a purse from a Nancy/Clover Trace-n-create template.

I am working on a few knit patterns for the winder. would like to have this one to add to my collection.

    December 16, 2019

Love the tunic pattern! I have so many things I’d *like* to be sewing for my wardrobe this winter but the challenge is can I squeeze out the time for them? So many projects, so little time. But I really do want to make a fun & simply top out of this great knit fabric I got in 2 colorways. I want to combine them on a diagonal and have a top with the light on top, dark on the bottom. Should be really awesome if I get the time!

I am sewing a couple of Santa Claus dolls (almost finished) to place around the house. I would love to make this tunic pattern for my Granddaughter. I think she would like the style with the hood to wear with leggings. She’s slim and beautiful — I think it would look great on her.

I just love this tunic pattern and it has been many years since I have sewed something for me to wear. This looks like the pattern would be easy to follow and make more than one item of clothing with it. Love it.
