Join us at home and in person at the Quilt to Give area at The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show to stitch comfort quilts to benefit refugee children being resettled in Wisconsin. Today, Team NZP is sharing our easy Quick Column Quilt instructions for making a Comfort Quilt featuring Nancy Zieman’s signature Quilt To Give Pattern.

Daily 9 a.m.-3 p.m., September 4-6, in the Atrium at the Exhibition Hall at The Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.

Let’s use our skills to help others! Share your love of quilting by joining our community service project, a collaborative effort led by PBS Wisconsin Education. This year, you can help create a warm welcome for refugee children being resettled in Wisconsin. Your comfort quilt will be included in a welcome package for our new neighbors alongside PBS KIDS educational materials and distributed to families in their new communities throughout the year.

Here’s how to participate:

• Plan a 1/2-hour or more to sit, sew and give at The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show.
• Donate fabric in bright colors: 1/4 yd. or more at The Quilt To Give Area in the Atrium at the Exhibition Hall at The Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.
• Donate a finished, new quilt, 24″ or larger, in any quilt pattern including panel quilts to the Quilt To Give Area at The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show. All quilts must be clean and quilted through 3 layers by hand, hand-tied, machine quilted, or by mixing two or three methods.

Ship or Deliver Comfort Quilt Donations by October 1: Attention Quilt To Give, Nancy Zieman Sewing Studio, 120 Front St., Beaver Dam WI, 53916.
