Cord Wrap Sewing Tutorial Supplies
NEW! WoolFelt Fabric Rectangles

Roller Presser Foot or Teflon Non-Stick Presser Foot
June Tailor’s Fabric Glue Stick or Clover’s Double Sided Basting Tape
45 mm Rotary Cutter and Cutting Mat
Optional: 45 mm Decorative Rotary Cutting Blades or Pinking Shears
5/8″ Round Sticky Backed Velcro Circles
Schmetz Super Nonstick Needles, Sz. 90
- Cut one 5″ square from Laminate Fabric, and cut one 5″ square from WoolFelt.
- Apply June Tailor’s Fabric Glue Stick to wrong side of Laminate Fabric.
- Place wrong side/glue side of Laminate Fabric square to wrong side of WoolFelt square and finger-press.
- Trace a 4-inch circle on center of fabric assembly, using Clover’s 5-in-1 Sliding Gauge.
- Set sewing machine for a 3.0 stitch length, attached a Roller Presser Foot or Teflon Non-Stick Presser Foot, and stitch on the marked line.
- Using a scissors, Pinking Shears, or 45 mm Rotary Cutter with Wavy Blade or Pinking Shears, trim away excess fabrics.
- Finger-press 5/8″ Round Sticky Backed Velcro Circles to felt side of cord wrap– just inside stitched line: Position Rough Circle at top and Soft Circle at bottom edge.
- Place cell phone cord, or similar cord, in center of Cord Wrap and fold wrong sides together meeting Velcro Circles.
