You had me at batik! Both packs are great, I’ve never met a batik I didn’t like. However, the Caribbean is my first choice. Thank you for a free BOM.

Really love the new BOM in Caribbean colorway! So cool and breezy for summer! And thanks so much for the pictures of how to cut and sew. That is so very helpful and thoughtful of you to share!

I like the Caribbean colorway. It reminds me of spring while I am waiting for another snow storm.

I love the Caribbean pattern because it has colors of the spring and summer seasons. It also reminds me of the ocean and cool summer breezes.

Beautiful colors, sounds like a fun project! I going to try and make one.

    February 19, 2022

Beautiful fabric, but I think I prefer the Caribbean the best. It is cool like a summer ocean breeze. It would be a beautiful quilt on a bed with the bright sunlight through the window reflecting the rich colors whether it is summer or winter time.

I like boke colorways, but I think the Caribbean.

  • Jo Wray
    February 19, 2022

I think that people should be allow to choose their own fabrics and not limit them to the fabrics that you have chosen. Both color ways are beautiful. I don’t like seeing /hearing about tools that I need to buy in order to sew the blocks. In Nancy’s early instructions about quilting or sewing she or readers offered ways to use things around the house or other creative ideas. In Home Ec. my teacher suggested that we could use a piece of wood to set seams. It shouldn’t be all about what tools we need to buy in order to quilt or sew. Nancy was always about creativity and not about selling tools or fabric. I still like your ideas for projects and instructions.

Both colors are so beautiful! However, I think the Caribbean block is very soothing, so, that would be my choice.

it’s how she can offer this amazing bom for free, and it’s always interesting to see new tools of the trade out there whethe I buy them or not. thank you for this fantastic opportunity…… for free!

What a great pattern for all the batik fabrics I collected because I love them. This is a definite do for me! Thanks!

    February 20, 2022

I’m not criticizing comment of tools buying or selling as above comment implies. I thought of how considerate author was to include all tools needed or tools to have on hand for these lovely batik blocks to be constructed and not as a sales pitch. I have no sewing room and few skills or knowledge therefore I appreciate the help of information given us new beginner quilters. I would think it’s frustrating to be working with beautiful fabrics such as these and need to stop to run to a store or search house for tool to continue a lovely piece of art such as these quilt blocks. Most sewers may have these tools. I will certainly make sure I have them at hand so as to not need to stop and begin again on this quilt.
These colors are both beautiful. Maybe I’ll just buy both and make a quilt for each of my grands!

Caribbean is my favorite color palate for the soothing impact that it has.

  • Dawn Schlegel
    February 24, 2022

I am making the rainbow blocks and this block turned out quite pretty! Although, I already have the tools used, as an experienced quilter can tell you that they are not necessary – they just make it a bit easier to get the cutting and sewing done. Can’t wait for next months block!!!!

  • Marcia Debra
    February 27, 2022

Love the Rainbow bundle. The colors throughout the blocks rather than each one a color of the rainbow ensures blocks coordinate no matter where cuts are made or blocks placed.

    • Denise Hurtado
      March 3, 2022

I have always enjoyed working with batiks. I took a quilting cruise and I created my own batiks on one of the islands. The Caribbean colors happily remind me of the cruise and new adventure. Thanks for the inspiration! Denise

I have seen the quilt squares of the month for a few years. They looked interesting to me. I wanted to try quilting so this is the year 2022. I love to sew and am cutting my hours at work to get more fun time as I get close to retire. I think the Caribbean would be my choice I love the sea colors! Can I use some of my scrap materials to do the block of the month?
