This month we\u2019re stitching the traditional <strong>Evening Star<\/strong> design. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Team Nancy Zieman is pleased to honor Nancy with this beautiful new block of the month series featuring Nancy\u2019s <span style=\"color: #000000;\">New Farmhouse Florals<\/span> fabric line for Penny Rose from Riley Blake!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Evening Star\u00a0<\/strong>combines 1\/2-square triangle units, solid corner units, and a 9-patch mini-block. Block B construction is identical.<\/p>\n<h3>Half Square Triangles (HSTs)<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>To create the center of each block: Layer two 3-7\/8&#8243; squares on other two 3-7\/8&#8243; squares, matching right sides.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nancyzieman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/February-NancyZieman-6.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-47969\" title=\"February-NancyZieman-6\" src=\"https:\/\/nancyzieman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/February-NancyZieman-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"432\" height=\"288\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mark each block set diagonally from corner to corner, using a fabric marking pen and ruler.<\/li>\n<li>For greatest accuracy, use a\u00a0<strong><a title=\"No-Hassle Triangles Guage\" href=\"https:\/\/shopNZP.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">No-Hassle Triangle Gauge<\/a><\/strong>. The left side of the gauge is designed to create the 3-1\/2&#8243; HST blocks.<\/li>\n<li>Depress the button on the sliding portion of the gauge and move to the\u00a03-1\/2&#8243;\u00a0HST icon on the left side of the gauge.<\/li>\n<li>Place gauge on the block set, corner to corner. Match corner marks of gauge with corner of block sets.
