What a great way to celebrate Nancy’s legacy. She was in inspiration to many and her tips and techniques are truly time-saving. I own many of her books and they are becoming well worn references!

I am unable to travel to Wisconsin to see the exhibit but want to thank everyone involved in coordinating the celebration exhibit. I learned so much from watching Nancy over the years (and still enjoy watching the re-runs on PBS). Her style and techniques are timeless. I enjoyed reading her book, Seams Unlikely and look forward to reading her husband’s book “The Rest of the Story.” Nancy is greatly missed and dearly loved.

What a wonderful memorial. Sadly I will not be able to see it this year.

Nancy wasn’t only a master teacher of sewing, but a teacher of manners, kindness & humanity.

I enjoy her reruns I record from Rocky Mountain PBS.

Please let me know if this exhibit will be shown in the future.

    Happy sewing!

I met Nancy in Tulsa several years ago at a 3-day conference. You could tell she enjoyed herself. We were accustomed to seeing our teacher, who was serious and focused on the lesson at hand. This Nancy was a hoot! She laughed and joked and told wonderful stories.i actually got to chat with her for a minute, and she seemed so genuine and interested. We shook hands, and she laughed when I said “Well, bye for now.” Life was too short for NZ. I know there was another thousand lessons she had for us.

I had the pleasure of meeting Nancy when she to traveled to Rochester, NY many years ago and gave a presentation there. What a thrill it was to meet her! I’m so glad an exhibit about her life was created for so many to enjoy!

I’m so sorry I didn’t know more about nancy before 3 years ago; I wish I could have enjoyed her calm manner and teaching ability sooner. Now I will have to rely on older filming to get more of the legacy she has left so many.

I have watched and sewed with Nancy for many years. It was wonderful to ignite the sewing bug in my Granddaughters with the I Sew For Fun book. Many backpacks, pillows and skirts have been made by all 3 Granddaughters. I have read her book (love the quick bread recipe) and am anxious to see the exhibit.

I’m not a sewer but I did enjoy watching Nancy, she’s like the Bob Ross of sewing. A total professional yet very personable, it was almost like therapy to watch her.

Nancy was my encouragement and how too when my friends got me into quilting. They would say, ‘you just do this or that’, but Nancy showed you exactly how to do it. I have since purchased most of my templates etc. from Nancy’s Notions because I trust the website. Thank you for keeping the show on TV. Even when I watch a show more than once, I learn more each time. I would love to visit the exhibit.

What an inspiration! I enjoyed watching Nancy and I am so glad my PBS Station here, WHRO, still has her on in our area. Truly she is missed, her soothing and gentle voice made projects easier and fun.
Thanks for sharing this with us.

The first time I saw Nancy’s show I was incredulous because she sewed a pocket on a child’s pair of pants and got it straight the first when I knew I would have had to try several times to do the same thing. I swore I’d never watch her again.
Several years down the road and a little maturity on my part I watched her again and got hooked. I learned “I CAN do that.”
I gained confidence in my sewing to the point that I took on the costume mistress position in our local theater. Nancy also peaked my interest in quilting which is now one of my favorite hobbies.
Thank you, Nancy, for being such a wonderful mentor. You helped shape me who I am now. “Bye, for now.”

I dearly miss Nancy’s weekly shows but am so glad I can learn from and sew with Nancy using my iPad and PBS or YouTube. I will not be able to travel from Arizona to see the exhibit before it closes. Thank you for giving us a glimpse of it. I’m certain I am not alone in feeling I’ve lost a dear sewing friend.

What I saw of the exhibit is great, just as Nancy was. I first met Nancy eons ago at an American Sewing Guild sewing exhibit. She was a wonderful person to talk to. I still watch her on my PBS station. I would love to see the exhibit but know I cannot this year. Hopefully it will be done again in the future. Thanks to all who is keeping her memory alive.

Even after several surgeries I could not miss tracing to WI to be in the room with Nancy’s things. Though I must have looked a mess in a wheelchair sobbing. Still I could feel her and her family and see the hard work and dedication to her art and us. Blessed to have had a few words with her prior to her rise to glory…we had similar lives but her dedication and determination to leave her family a legacy of love and learning and allowing each of us to be part of that family …wow. My last words to her were if each of us could give her just one second of our lives she would live forever. I wish whole heartily the Lord would have let us bestow that gift. Bye for now dear Nancy!
